Hello,
I bought an LG Combination DVD/VHS Recorder RC-278 to copy my VHS to DVD.
Unfortunately, all the menus in the "disc settings" option (such as initialize, finalize, name the disc, etc.) are not accessible.
Also, the dubbing button doesn't work and a circle with a line appears on the screen.
In short, none of the functions for copying on this device... are accessible...
I don't understand anything!
I bought it second-hand on Pixmania.
Can someone enlighten me?

Good evening, what kind of disc are you using? If it's a RW, it needs to be formatted first... (see page 25 of your manual). I am also thinking about something: maybe the combo detects that it is, for example, a 3-hour tape, so if you set a burning quality for 2 hours/DVD, it won't be possible...

I am experiencing the same problem with the remote control and some buttons that no longer work (DVD, VHS, Dubbing, Home). The issue is more significant with the "home" button as it has no equivalent on the front of the device. Have you been able to resolve your problem? If so, how did you do it?
