Bluetooth, receiving multiple images on your PC (one by one)

Hello.

I have a question regarding Bluetooth on Windows 10 or Windows 11.

When I want to send photos from my smartphone to my PC via Bluetooth (which are paired), I can only receive one image or one document at a time on my PC.

I have to click on the Bluetooth icon on my PC (at the bottom right of my screen), open a window, and click on "receive file" each time.

When I want to send multiple images at once (from my smartphone to the PC), I have to open this window on my PC as many times as there are images to receive!

Or, I send a second image quickly (before the download of the first image is completed on the PC). Otherwise, I have to open this window again and click on "receive file" :-(

With the older Windows versions, I didn’t have this issue. The devices were paired (just like they are now). When I sent multiple images from my smartphone to my PC, everything was received normally! and there wasn’t this "receive" window; it happened automatically.

When I have several images to send, it’s really tedious!

I had looked into why this was happening and if there was a Bluetooth application, but I couldn’t find a solution...! Do I need to configure something on Windows 11 or Windows 10? I couldn’t find anything.

Do you have the same problem?

Can you receive multiple photos at the same time without any issues and without having to open this little window each time that pops up when you click on the Bluetooth icon: "receive file" or "send file"?

    Hello,

    Personally, I don’t have this issue and here’s what I do:

    • I turn on Bluetooth on my Samsung and my Mac
    • on my Samsung, in the "Photos" app, I open the "Gallery Photos"
    • I select the photos by long-pressing on each photo to be sent: a checkmark then appears on the selected photo
    • once all the photos are selected, I choose the "Share" button and then "Bluetooth"
    • in the displayed list, I select my Mac and the transfer begins
    • on my Mac, a window opens: it indicates that the transfer of images is in progress.
    • Once the transfer is finished, I find the photos in the Downloads folder on the Mac

    Hello,

    The method indicated by _Ritchi_ is the right one.
    You just need to select multiple photos by long-pressing on the first one.

    However, transferring via Bluetooth is slow. If you don't want to use a cable, I recommend using "Connected Mobile" on the computer and "Link to Windows" on the Samsung instead. Wi-Fi must be enabled.

    Hello everyone

    Thank you for your responses, the problem is resolved!

    I did this operation which is exactly what I used to do before.

    I sent 5 photos via Bluetooth, from my smartphone to my old backup Aspire E 17 PC, and it worked like magic!

    I will try to do it on my Vivobook PC (which is broken, if it's repairable) but I think the operation will work there too.

    I feel a bit ashamed now for asking this question but it solved my problem, that was the goal and I thank you for that!

    I had done these operations when I bought my Aspire PC (and also on my Vivobook) with 2 different smartphones that were nearing the end of their life.
    It displayed "transfer failures" messages every time and I was stuck thinking it wasn't working.

    I had searched for solutions online several times but found nothing so I continued to foolishly use the "method with the small window".

    For several months now, I have a new Pixel smartphone and I suppose these "transfer failure" bugs must have come only from those 2 smartphones. They were paired and the Bluetooth update was okay, so it should have worked.

    I have already connected a cable to my Vivobook to recover photos and retrieved "albums" created on my smartphone, but I wanted to be able to send some photos via Bluetooth and receive them normally like today.
