Bad signal

Hello,
I have a Fransat digital receiver (Triax) THR 7600 that I have been using for a few years to receive Swiss TV channels in France.
Since the end of the year, when I turn it on, it says: "bad signal" and I no longer have any programs.
Could it be a problem with the antenna that may have moved due to the heavy snowfall received at the end of the year?? I am in the mountains, at 1000 m altitude??
Thank you in advance for your advice.
Claude

Claude,
Your problem could be caused by several factors. Indeed, the accumulation of snow on your dish could lead to a reception issue. It’s also possible that your antenna has moved due to strong winds. You should check the alignment of your antenna and remove any snow or ice that has accumulated on it.
The issue could also be due to a malfunction of your Fransat Triax THR 7600 receiver. You might try resetting your receiver or checking if it needs a software update.
It could also be a problem with the cables or connectors between your dish and your receiver. Check the condition of your cables and replace them if necessary. Finally, if your problem persists, it would be best to call in a professional for a more accurate diagnosis.

Hello,
yes, it’s very likely that it’s related to the antenna. With the snow and frost in the mountains, the dish can get slightly misaligned or the LNB could be dirty/frozen, which is enough to lose the signal. Start by visually checking the dish (snow, ice, orientation) and the cables. If possible, a small realignment or cleaning of the LNB often solves the problem.
