Hello, I am lost. I was downloading videos on captvBêta3, but they are in HEVC. In the folder where they end up after downloading, I have 7 files, including 1 that I can watch....in German!!!! I can't convert them to AVI to watch on the TV. I don't understand anything. If you have any idea to explain to me, it will be welcome. I thank everyone, and forgive my ignorance!!!
I don't know if I'm in the right place!!!

Hello,
Use a conversion software.
HandBrake (Free, Windows/Mac/Linux):
Download and install HandBrake from handbrake.fr.
Open HandBrake and import your HEVC file by clicking on "Open Source" or dragging and dropping the file.
In the output settings, choose the AVI format (often available via the Xvid or DivX codec).
Select a destination folder for the converted file.
Adjust the settings (quality, resolution, etc.) if necessary, then click on "Start Encode".
Advantages: Intuitive interface, free, supports many codecs.

Hello,
The HEVC format (also known as H.265) is a highly compressed video format that is not always recognized by some older televisions or video players. That’s why your files are not playing correctly, and you have one that plays but in a different language (probably a different default audio track).
To be able to play them on your TV, you can use free software like HandBrake or VLC to convert them into a more compatible format, such as MP4 (H.264) or AVI. In HandBrake, you can also select the correct audio track (French) before starting the conversion.
If you just want to play them on a computer, VLC can directly play HEVC without conversion.
