EBP QUOTATION INVOICE CONSTRUCTION BLOCKED

Hello,
I have been using EBP Building Quotes Invoices 2019 since May 2029. On 10/05/2025, my software is blocked with the message (your trial version has expired), I'm using the same codes that I purchased in 2019, it doesn't work, I'm asked to contact customer service. On Monday, when they opened, I contacted them, and the person asked me to pay for the 2025 update (€48 including VAT), which I did. Upon restarting, I notice that it is the Building Quote Invoice ACTIV 2025 version, in rental mode. My question is: does EBP have the right to block my access to my data by forcing me to switch to a version with a monthly fee? Thank you for your responses. Best regards,

Hello,
I am not familiar with this particular software, so I can only offer a few general comments.
From a technical standpoint, the license can only be blocked if it had a fixed duration at the time of purchase or if the software's operation depends on updates or other connections with the publisher; otherwise, there is no reason for strictly local software to stop functioning.
In the first case, we might imagine that this publisher has blocked the software in question because it is not compliant with the new regulations requiring electronic invoicing, but at the very least, they should have informed their clients.
EBP (and other publishers in the field) now only have online subscription solutions; they would then have the right regarding a version that for any reason is no longer functioning and has no support to offer to replace it with one of these solutions while informing you of its pricing, but you have the right not to accept it (in other words, to turn to the competition and their own pricing).
Hello
Same issue this morning, the support tells me it's because of a Windows update... I doubt it but I'm deleting it.
Of course, nothing changes. I try with my laptop that I never use with the same software (2nd workstation) ... oh look, no Windows update but exactly the same problem.
I'm convinced they have programmed the software to crash and force us to take the monthly subscription.
I should mention that I use EBP estimates invoicing for construction and EBP accounting, and they are offering me a subscription at €48 x 2...
The problem is that I hadn't backed up recently, and indeed we weren't warned!
Have you found a solution since?
Sincerely
