Why does my Redmi screen go 'black'?

Hello,

I have a Redmi 9A mobile, MIUI Global version 12.5.5,

If I want to make a call, after dialing the number, as soon as I press the green button to call, the screen goes completely black, and I can't do anything.

If I call a service, for example, with a menu (press 1, press 2, press 3), I cannot because there's nothing on the screen.

I can't hang up either.

I have to press and hold the side button to completely turn off the mobile, then turn it back on.

When I receive a call, as soon as I press answer, the screen reappears when the caller hangs up.

Do you have any idea how to fix this? Or is the only solution to go to the store?

    Hello,

    This is caused by the proximity sensor. As soon as it detects that your phone is close to you (especially when you are holding it to your ear), it will automatically turn off the screen. The screen will turn back on when you move your phone away.

    To disable the proximity sensor during calls, go to Settings > System app settings > Call settings > Incoming call settings, then uncheck Proximity sensor.
