Hello, could you please tell me the reliability index and/or failures of VirusKeeper? Is it really effective? Thank you all for your responses.

Hello,
Microsoft already has a free antivirus (for Windows 10 and 11...) that proves to be effective, so there is no need to add another third-party antivirus.

Hello
Same opinion.
I add that the reviews aren't really great:

More technical, this post: VirusKeeper - Page 3 - Malekal.com forum
Reading through the entire discussion is amusing. I won't be using this AV.....

Hello,
I second that.
A comparison of this kind can only be established by laboratories equipped with probes for testing and maintaining virus signatures, an exercise beyond the reach of volunteer members of a forum.
Furthermore, this product does not appear in any reports from the leading security product analysts, so it is impossible to make an improvised judgment:

Hello,
Not even.
So-called independent tests take versions of such security software at a given moment while it’s a very changing field, do not examine them all at the same date or all at all, cannot claim to test the only antivirus component now most often integrated into a security suite, do so on a test machine with certain features and with a sample of known viruses (bias) and incorporate more or less subjective values (speed, resource consumption...).
We’re not going to revisit the antivirus controversy; Windows Defender is user-friendly because it's readily available and is no worse than another nor better as some claim; there may be technical reasons to choose a third-party product apart from detection (which anyway always fails if it’s not between the ears), but indeed probably not this VirusKeeper more or less unknown in the battalion.Unknown in the field is indeed the only valid assessment. Personally, like a number of speakers, I recommend sticking to Defender, as long as we adhere to the most recognized downloading practices possible.
In terms of software comparison (or other consumer goods), regardless of the field, there will always be convinced supporters of this or that product.
However, to establish a more or less reliable ranking, it would be essential for the publisher to submit, even if contested, their product to some entity for comparison with others.
This is what establishes the reputation of antivirus and security suites, not to mention the essential marketing without which a laboratory product will never see the light of day.
Certainly, market share statistics do not establish the intrinsic value of one product or another, but leading publishers, competing to penetrate the professional user sector, cannot ignore these publications, which make and break the rankings.
The question posed seems more to reflect: I bought (or I would like to buy this product) can you confirm my good choice.
The answer is no, in the absence of initiative from the publisher to make the judgment and testing elements known to specialists, and to publish them.
I clarify that I became aware of the existence of this product about twenty years ago but have not heard about it until today.
