Eye in password bar

Solved

Hello,

I have Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 and I've just noticed, on various sites, that a small logo resembling an eye appears in the password entry fields as soon as I type the first letter or number of a password.

I wonder if it’s some kind of spyware or something like that?? Unless it’s my antivirus protecting me?
I have AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot, and CCleaner.

What do you think, do you have any information on this topic?

In the meantime, I found a workaround: I enter a character from the password and then click in the field to enter my username, and then I go back to the password field and the eye doesn’t appear anymore. I don’t know if it changes anything but okay.

Thank you for your responses.

Configuration: Windows 8 / Internet Explorer 10.0

no risk, no spyware (by the way, you can disable it in the registry with the tutorial) but just a way to see what you have written; on certain sites, you can check a box to display your password in plain text! also, see didou mac fly's explanation.
