eye in password bar Solved

Question

Hello,

I have Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 and I've just noticed, on various sites, that a small logo resembling an eye appears in the password entry fields as soon as I type the first letter or number of a password.

I wonder if it’s some kind of spyware or something like that?? Unless it’s my antivirus protecting me?
I have AVG, Malwarebytes, Spybot, and CCleaner.

What do you think, do you have any information on this topic?

In the meantime, I found a workaround: I enter a character from the password and then click in the field to enter my username, and then I go back to the password field and the eye doesn’t appear anymore. I don’t know if it changes anything but okay.

Following an IE 10 update, I also encountered this. It's an icon that you press and it displays the letters of your password on the screen, which are usually represented by circles or stars.

I think it was designed so that a person typing their password, who may have lost track of where they are, can quickly reveal the beginning of the password they are writing and finish it correctly... that's the only benefit I see... which is still very limited (unless you have a password that's 3 kilometers long...). If you type the title of this topic in English into a well-known search engine, there's a method to remove this application that is indicated.

That's a method I haven't tested, I should point out.

Well, I would like to get rid of that; I have a good memory, so I don't need some weird eye to handle my passwords!!
Does anyone have an idea on how to delete that, please!!

Right click at DisablePasswordReveal > click Modify > under Value data box, enter 1 > ( see screenshot below ) > click OK

and the evil eye has disappeared!
