HDMI switch not transmitting image

Hello,

I have a Red connect TV, a Nintendo Switch, a digital DVD player, and a computer. Since I only have two HDMI inputs on my screen, I bought an HDMI switch, thinking it would be easy.

This switch only transmits the Nintendo Switch. The others don't transmit images; I get a "no signal" message. I've switched the inputs on the switch and the cables, but only the console displays, no matter the cable or HDMI input.

I returned the switch to benefit from the free return. Do you know what the problem was, and do you know of a switch that could do the job?

The switch I chose was a 4K 60 Hz... which should have been sufficient, it recognized the devices as it automatically selected the right input; I admit I'm stuck and looking for the right device...
