Black screen after adding RAM

Hello,

I recently added two identical RAM sticks to the old ones (so I imagine there are no compatibility issues?).

However, since then, every time I turn on my PC, my graphics card sometimes flickers, and even more troubling, my screen remains black without even a hint of light (making it difficult to access the BIOS).

I then tried removing the new RAM sticks, but there was no change; the problem persists.

Does anyone have any idea what to do? Anything to change or try, I’m open to everything.

Thank you for reading, and I eagerly await your responses.

    Hello

If the problem didn't exist before adding the RAM, the first thing to do is to revert to the original situation, so with the original RAM to confirm that the problem is indeed a result of adding the new sticks.

For your information, as long as we don't buy the RAM at the same time on the same date, they are necessarily different.

The problem is that I am currently using the old configuration, that is to say the first two modules used when everything was fine, and..... The screen won't turn on.

Is it problematic if the two new modules added are slightly different then?

Since I bought the old ones less than 2 months ago, I imagine the difference is minimal.

    Thank you.

    Try this:

Unplug the power supply (230v), press the power button several times (the "on" button, like you would to start the PC) and then plug it back in and try again.

Sorry for the wasted time, I realized that one of the RAM sticks wasn't properly seated, a silly mistake..

However, after activating XMP, I can play smoothly, but several times over the course of a few tens of minutes my game crashes, multiple times.

But it doesn't stop there, as I now find myself on a blue screen.. with the following error: "stop code: memory management".

If it's possible to help me once again haha.

Install CPUZ and publish screenshots of the "memory" and "SPD" tabs (one for each memory slot in SPD)

I will do that and send the screenshot right after.

I was analyzing the possible issues and was pointed to "hardware" problems, then the PC restarted and showed this attached.

      Oh no, bad news then.

Here are the screenshots from CPU-Z:

They are identical except for the manufacturing dates but, well, it shouldn't be an issue.

We need to check what processor and motherboard you have (always using CPU-Z, in the CPU and Motherboard tabs), as the latter will also provide the BIOS version, because at this stage, the only advice I would give is to flash the BIOS.

I updated the bios last time, and since then there have been no issues, hoping the problem doesn't persist, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

A huge thank you for the support, it may not seem like it, but if the problem occurs again, I will come back here.

      Thanks again a thousand times!!

If there are no more issues for several days, please come back to mark the discussion as resolved.
