Hello, I'm reposting a new topic following this one https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-28668371-trop-de-ram-pas-bon
So, still experiencing these blue screens intermittently, nothing specific seems to trigger them, the message after restarting the PC: Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
System Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Regional Identifier: 1036
Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: a
BCP1: FFFFFA810E272B58
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: FFFFF80002E9FD31
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1
Files helping to describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\090813-22885-01.dmp
C:\Users\jeff\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-56659-0.sysdata.xml
Read our privacy statement online:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x040c
If the online privacy statement is not available, read the offline version:
C:\Windows\system32\fr-FR\erofflps.txt
and this has been happening since I added a second RAM stick, when I run siw I get this:
"Warning! wrong values reported by BIOS.
"Maximum Memory Module Size: [unknown]."
So my question is: what should I do? Do I need to change something in the BIOS? If so, how?
Yet the stick is active when I check the task manager... is it possible that the two sticks are not of the same brand? That they might be conflicting with each other?
So, if someone knows what I should do, thanks in advance :)
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 23.0

Hello, if anyone has followed my "stories", here it was simply a case of incompatible RAM sticks, compatible enough to work and be recognized, but in practice, the CPU wouldn't accept them... I think it was at certain speeds that it didn't work anymore...
Anyway, so the A data and Corsair RAM sticks (I mentioned Kingston in the subject but I was wrong... it was a Corsair) are not compatible... even with exactly the same references... > issue resolved :)
Anyway, so the A data and Corsair RAM sticks (I mentioned Kingston in the subject but I was wrong... it was a Corsair) are not compatible... even with exactly the same references... > issue resolved :)
Well, the second one I added has exactly the same specs as the first one (original) except that it’s not the same brand... my motherboard is supposed to support 8 gigabytes.
I feel like the answer lies in this "warning" from siw about the BIOS... but I have no idea how to proceed :(
Maybe I should simply order a second Kingston stick so that I have 2 perfectly identical ones?
Maybe I should simply order a second Kingston stick so that I have 2 perfectly identical ones?
Well, on my old PC, it didn't cause any problems; and I've often added RAM to desktop computers and never had this kind of issue before. (Except once, it was a problem with incompatible brands... but this time the stick was neither recognized nor active... now it's active when I check my task manager :s
That would be silly because I play a bit and in games I can really see the difference... it's much smoother with 8GB than with 4 :) if it weren't for those blue screens and random restarts :( maybe I'll try to put in only 2 by getting a Kingston just to have the same brand? 6 would be better than 4 anyway?
thank you anyway :) well, by trying things out, I might eventually find a solution :) unless a real pro comes by this topic with a miracle solution :D
Just a moment, I'm downloading Everest because if it's paid for the reports... I'll send that to you in a few minutes.
Uh, which one is better? https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/9191-everest-home-edition/
or https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/9189-everest-corporate-edition/? I only know the first one.

and yes I tried removing it to go back with the original one and apparently no more blue screen.. the blue screens appeared after adding RAM... or coincidence but I would be surprised since the PC was just reinstalled..
Edit: what do you mean by 'reinstalled'?
