Hello

I use Avidemux 2.8.2 on W11 to remove sequences from the movies I record in mpeg ts. Recently, this software has been crashing during encoding.

I would like to find an alternative; is there software similar to Avidemux?

If so, which one(s)?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I also use Avidemux to process movies recorded on TV; it doesn't like the ts format at all.

I start by converting it to the MKV format without changing the audio or video output, which I can then edit as I wish without any issues.

Hello.

I can't even do what you said.

It crashes too, I think the video is "damaged."

As if one or two frames are missing...

It could be coming from the TNT decoder...

What is the brand of yours, if it's not too personal?

Cheap stuff, as I remember, the No Name Essential B from Boulanger, the films are recorded on an external Toshiba drive connected to the PC.

Mine is a Philips, I record on a USB 3.0 stick.

At first, I was able to delete the ads without re-encoding.

Thank you for your help.

Hello.

I found a JVC TNT decoder.

I can now remove sections and put everything in copy to create an MKV file.

And I can read this file without it crashing.

For your information, the decoder records in AVCD.MTS.

Thank you for your help and happy end-of-year celebrations.
