Hello everyone
I tried to make a movie by putting together photos and a video with the Windows media player. Then I added captions, closed it, and when I reopened the movie, some photos were missing. When I clicked, it gave me their number, but I couldn't find them again. It really bothered me.
I just read the forum "Free Video Editing: The Best Software for Windows" and installed photos with CLIPIFY, which was recommended as free software. HOWEVER, after adding photos, it gave me a message saying "You cannot have more than 15 files in the free version." SO it's impossible for me, who has at least 400, to continue!
What do you recommend? Thanks for your responses.
Martine, who will be 70 soon

Hello again, so with Windows 11 you have "offered" by Microsoft a video software in addition to "Photos" the all-new "Clipchamp." There are tutorials on YouTube to guide you, and if it is already installed, click the left button on "Start" and choose Microsoft Clipchamp.

Hello
Thank you. I had tried with all my photos and used automatic videos. It worked, but my photos were not in order, some were upside down, and I didn't like it because sometimes there were colors under the image. So I deleted it. Since then, I have been sorting my photos in my files by creating folders by date, e.g., 1980, etc., and I will upload them one by one later. When I have a bit of time. In fact, even though I am retired, I often have activities and appointments, and I don't see the time pass. I will let you all know when I am happy to have made a film that suits me. Have a good day, everyone.
Hello Martine, you are younger than me, and age doesn't matter, and video is a good way to stay active. There are some free software options that are very good; you just need to choose one and take your time to get used to it. Let me know which version of Windows you have.

Hello Martine,
Did you manage with your editing?
When I run discovery workshops, I recommend the software Shotcut, as it is free and completely open source!
There is also Hitfilm Express which is completely free.
