Messenger: Priority to the PC, not the phone!!!

Hello,

I'm fed up! Every time I receive messages on Facebook through Messenger, and I want to check them from my computer, which I use 99.9% of the time I spend online, it says "Messages are missing," and my conversation history disappears!
To see my messages, I have to check them from my phone, whose mobile data is intentionally turned off because it annoys me to use the internet with a phone!!!!!

How can I solve this problem?
Additionally, all the messages I've already read on my PC show up as new when I log in with my phone. Consequently, it takes "forever" to load everything, even though these messages have already been dealt with..... It's ridiculous!!!

I want to clarify that I use the Facebook SITE, which includes Messenger. I haven't downloaded anything, except on my phone of course, but not on my computer...

If you have a solution, thank you, because this is super annoying!!!

    Hello,

    I think this is caused by a poor synchronization. Since your phone is not connected to the internet all the time, Messenger cannot refresh in real-time and thus update your conversations as they are on the PC.

    To ensure continuous synchronization, it would be better for your phone to stay connected, preferably via Wi-Fi if you want to avoid using your mobile data. Otherwise, disconnect your account from your phone so that your PC remains the primary device.

      Thank you. I will do it that way.

      But for me, this is clearly a programming flaw: The first device to connect to Fbk Messenger should be the first to be able to read the messages... By the way, where are they stored? In a database, right? Since I'm using the FACEBOOK SITE on my computer, I don't understand why the messages are inaccessible on my computer... Anyway....

        Exactly, messages are stored on the Messenger server.

        However, since you are connected both on your PC and your phone, the synchronization of messages will depend not only on the server but also on the devices, as it will also ensure that all your devices have access to the latest information.

        And if one of the devices is not synchronizing at that moment, it can delay synchronization with the other devices that are connected to your account.
