SIM PACKAGE // NUMBER PORTABILITY NOT POSSIBLE.

Solved

Good evening,

Two days ago, I realized that my phone was on 3G. Since then, it has remained on 3G and I can neither make calls nor send SMS/MMS. I also cannot go online. However, I do receive SMS and calls.

So, I first called customer service using the number reserved for Sim+ clients (the only functional number from my line) and after 4 hours of waiting, I decided to hang up. I tried again in the afternoon, but got no response either...

Finally, I requested a RIO via the SIM+ customer space and I received the RIO for my number. But when I try to change operators while keeping my number with the RIO (via Auchan Telecom), there is an error: "We cannot perform portability on the entered number. Please enter another number or select ‘Get a new number’."

I don’t know what to do: customer service is unreachable (from my line and also from other lines) and I cannot change operators while keeping my number.

This is very disabling for me and I would appreciate any guidance from your side.

Sincerely,

    Hello @SpyCrack StatusMember.

    The SIM+ website is no longer reachable https://simplus.fr/contact/.

    A few months ago (12/12/2023), the company CEDETEL that markets the SIM+ brand was placed in judicial recovery.

    More information on this page.

    Also see this page and this message.

    In summary, there's no point in trying to contact them; the company is no longer active. You will probably need to resolve to change your phone number. If you are still paying for a subscription, check with your bank on how to block it, and you can also look into this with the mediator.

    Next time, get a subscription with a major operator (Free, Bouygues, SFR, Orange/SOSH) and avoid alternative operators.

      Hello bazfil,

      I managed to contact a customer service representative this morning at 10 am.

      She apparently sent me an email to pay for a supposedly declined subscription, which would allow my line to be reactivated...

      I will try to reactivate my line and then change operators as quickly as possible...

      Thank you for your information that has definitely convinced me to flee.

      Have a nice day!

      @SpyCrack StatusMember.

      The website https://simplus.fr/ is unreachable, I tried with a free version VPN connected to the Netherlands and, coincidentally, I can access their site, so it seems that French IPs are being blocked; you can try and access your subscriber area to make your portability.

      @bazfile StatusModerator, Security Contributor

      It's curious, I can access my customer space from https://my.simplus.fr/

      And then make a RIO request. I received a text message with my RIO but the portability isn't working because I presume that my line is blocked by SIMPLUS (for an apparently unpaid bill...), I can't change operators...

      I don't know what to do at this point, other than changing my number but I would really be very bothered by a new number...

      Is there another solution to not change my number but only the operator that doesn't depend on SIMPLUS?

      Thank you!

      @SpyCrack StatusMember .

      You can probably access it because you're using a mobile network or a corporate or university network, on fixed internet service provider networks this is impossible, I tried it via the mobile network and it works, as for keeping your number, try to discuss it with the provider with whom you want to take a new subscription, maybe they can do something for you.
