Hello, since yesterday I've been having an issue with my email on my phone; it says the username or password is incorrect. I hadn't changed anything and everything was fine until yesterday. I can log in without any problem from my computer. So, I deleted this account on my phone and changed my password on the computer. Then I reopened a "la poste" account on my phone with the new password, but it still doesn't work. Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Go to Settings > Apps

Find Laposte.net and go to Storage

Clear the cache and delete the data.

Then try to log in to the app.

It's not guaranteed, but it's one of the first things to do in this kind of situation.

Hello,

My laposte.net app is working well on my side.

I had issues with other email clients, and I had to resort to using their in-house app. You're using the laposte.net app on Android, right?

Are there no exotic special characters in the password or the email?

Hello, Thank you for your response.

No, I haven't installed their application; I have the email app with two accounts, one for Gmail and one for LaPoste, and it has been working for years.

I just tried again and I can access my Laposte emails from a third-party app.

There's a problem with your mail app, it's evidently not on the Laposte side.

I used Eelo's native Mail app and then FairEmail, both work with Laposte.

I recommend FairEmail, which is available on the PlayStore. Give it a try and keep me updated!

I don't know the Courriel app (and I can't find it in the Play Store).

I only use the Gmail app that is already installed on the smartphone.
I've added all my email accounts, including the one from laposte.net.

Try to do the same.
The account setup is automatic. The default mail retrieval protocol is IMAP. This means that if you uninstall the account, you will not lose any emails.

----------------------------------

For your information:

The retrieval settings are:

  • server: imap.laposte.net
  • port: 993
  • security: SSL/TLS

The sending settings are:

  • server: smtp.laposte.net
  • port: 465
  • security: SSL/TLS

Conventionally, the word "portable" refers to a laptop, and smartphones are called "mobiles".
I hope I haven't answered the question incorrectly.

Hello

Same here

It was working yesterday and today it's not (laposte.net account added in Gmail)

I also changed the password, no difference

Not working either if I test the manual settings on IMAP

And I'm talking about the Gmail app on mobile ;)

Hello,

Everything is fine for me.
However, we cannot rule out the possibility that a mail server is down, which means that only certain accounts will be affected.

The simplest thing is to log into the webmail to check your emails.

https://laposte.net/accueil

First, send yourself a test message.

  • If you cannot read it on the webmail, it means that the server you depend on is down. You just have to wait for things to return to normal.
  • If you can read the email, it means the problem is on your side (smartphone or computer).
