Device Issues

Hello, for some time now, when I turn on my laptop, the screen remains black, and my touchpad and keyboard no longer work. However, when I plug in these external devices (keyboard, mouse, monitor), they work properly, and the machine's logo does not appear on the external screen at startup, and the system launches directly. Therefore, I cannot access the BIOS since the external devices only start after the system. I don't know what to do anymore. Thank you in advance.

It may be that the issue comes from the way your hardware is managed by the computer's BIOS. There might be a setting in the BIOS that prevents the built-in keyboard and touchpad from being activated.
Try resetting the BIOS to its default values. For this, you may need an external keyboard to carry out this operation. The option to reset the BIOS is usually found in the exit menu.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you can try updating the BIOS. Check the manufacturer's website for that.
If you still encounter issues after updating the BIOS, it could be a hardware problem. In that case, the best solution would be to contact the manufacturer's support.
Hello,
If the keyboard and the touchpad are not working anymore, I would personally start by looking in the "Device Manager" to see if there are any /!\ indicating issues with the affected devices.
Probably a driver issue...

We live in a wonderful time, even the robot supposedly programmed to react at D+1 has gone off the rails and reacts at D+5.
Hello,
The robot acts on D+1 by sending its response via email... If the response is accepted by the requester, then the robot's response is published on the forum.
In this case, the requester probably replied to the email on D+5.
Hello,
Oh, I see....
Tonight I will die a little less ignorant except for the question itself although I'm not sure about its description.
I currently have a comparable random behavior on my old PC, neither the BIOS nor Windows (formatted and reinstalled from scratch) are to blame; I haven't found out for sure yet, but it is probably in my case a hardware failure (power supply, cooling...).
