No audio output device is installed on Windows 10

Hello, I updated Windows but since then in the taskbar there is a red cross on the sound icon and it says: no playback device is installed. I have already tried the solutions given on this forum as well as on other forums. Like updating manually, by downloading the driver from Realtek’s site, uninstalling the driver and then restarting the PC so it reinstalls the driver, but none of the solutions worked.

Thanks in advance for your help, have a good day.

Give the hardware identification number of Realtek(R) Audio
Look at this -> Find the device identification number
Post the number in your next message.

I tried to play a video with VLC and the sound cut out in the middle, and I still get "No audio output device installed."

I have reinstalled everything and the sound returned but only for a very short moment, the “other device” section also appeared during that moment.

Give the hardware ID of the unknown device.

What devices do you have in Sound, video and game controllers?
