Android 14 update on Galaxy A52 4G???

Hello,

I own a Samsung Galaxy A52 4G and this model has still not received its update to Android 14 (ONE UI 6). Yet this update was scheduled for December 2023. The Galaxy A52s and A52 5G did receive their update in December. Today is February 19th and there is still no update, not even the security patches for January and February 2024. I am really confused and in total disbelief. Because nobody is giving any news about this delay. I'm even having a hard time believing it. Android 13 was updated on schedule at the end of November 2022. And now, I haven't received any updates for over 2 months, which has never happened before.

If anyone is in the same situation as me and has any info, I would appreciate it?

    If we're to believe Samsung, only the A52 5G and A52s will receive this update.

    Hello,

    Apparently, the update has been rolled out for this model, but only in Russia. The rest of the world has not received the update yet.

    I think there is a delay because the update is causing issues with the A52 4G. So until Samsung finds a fix and ensures that this model is perfectly compatible with this new version, the update has been canceled.

    However, this remains a supposition; there is no official information on this matter.

    That's why I'm in total disbelief. The A52 4G was indeed on the list of smartphones eligible for OneUI6. Moreover, this model was scheduled for 3 years of major updates + one year of security updates; if that's not the case, it means Samsung lacks seriousness.

    What does the Russian model have that others don't? Or has this update caused problems in Russia and that's why it hasn't been rolled out to other countries? Has the update been cancelled or suspended?

      If it's due to problems, the initial update has been canceled. They will need to make the corrections, and if everything works well, this corrected version (as a replacement for the previous one) should be gradually released worldwide.

      Or, the update simply isn't quite ready for other countries yet. I strongly doubt that only one country receives an update while others do not, considering that the phone model is identical to yours.

      And unless I'm mistaken, I have the impression that the A52 and A52 4G are essentially the same model - the A52 only supports 4G as well.

        Indeed, the A52 and A52 4G are the same model. I specify 4G, so as not to confuse it with the 5G model. The A51, A53, and A54 all have a single model. I still wonder why Samsung created several models for the A52. They could have created a single model with the same features as the A52s.

    As I mentioned earlier, the A52 4G will not be getting Android 14; it is no longer part of the list of smartphones that will receive Android 14.

    In any case, I am disappointed. I bought the 4G version because there is no 5G where I live. I would have preferred the A52 to be like the A51 or the A53, a unique model. A52, A52 5G, A52s, it creates a lot of confusion. And there is very little difference between these models except for the processor or the refresh rate.

    Okay, it's canceled. But why have the monthly patches been suspended for over 2 months?

      The patches are not necessarily monthly; as for their frequency, it's Samsung that decides, so ask Samsung.
