Hello,
You won't lose anything if everything has been synchronized to your Google account.
Nothing stops you from using a third-party app to back up yourself.
However, for personal photos and videos, make sure they are properly synchronized to Google Photos

Hello to myself too ha ha,
I just saw an old article on this forum that partially answers: don't update because higher versions are full of bugs.
"Galaxy S3 owners will still have to make do with Android 4.1.2.
Even though Android 4.3 has been available since July, Samsung seems to have rushed to release this version for the Galaxy S3. And this, especially since Samsung Knox is missing even though it was expected.

However, is that still the case? And what happens when you update?
Thank you for your help

Not nice, Xylon, to doubt! I know what mobile I have. I noted my version 4.1.2 and not 4.1!!!
And this message from Samsung about 4.3 and 4.4 indeed exists; I didn't say it concerns the S3 Mini!
Just check the list of questions: news
I'm retyping the proposed link:
"Samsung: Galaxy S3 update to Android 4.3 halted - news
I'm glad to learn that I indeed have the latest version! I was also surprised because updates are automatic. However, why since the end of September can't I receive or send MMS anymore? See the initial question from Sheribu, which hasn't received a response yet, and in which she explains everything that has been attempted without success.
Thank you in advance.

What is the title of your request
Samsung S3 Mini software update Android 4.1.2
so I'm responding regarding.. it's you who made the mistake here
. Furthermore, there are 2 models of S3, the GT-I9300 which has 4.3 AND the GT-I9305 which has 4.4.4, so which one do you have? And I'll leave you with papounet17000.
and then where did you see that I wrote 4.1?

I only use Gmail and I don't know how to use the other Google apps. By the way, I lost a Messenger account without Facebook like that because Messenger claimed to save to Google Drive, but when I went to that Drive, there was absolutely nothing.
