Transfer SMS to new phone

Hello, I just bought a XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 12 to replace the NOTE 5.
I was able to transfer my Whatsapp messages and all my phone contacts to my new phone, but not my SMS.
After trying simple methods like backing up to GOOGLE DRIVE, without success, I downloaded the SMS BACKUP AND RESTORE app; my backup is properly done, but I'm unable to transfer via Bluetooth. I should point out that I don't have a box, so I'm on 4G. The app tells me I need to be on WI-FI on both phones, I put a SIM card in the second phone as well, but it still doesn't work... I don't have NFC on the old one.
Something is eluding me...

You would need a different SMS backup system since the Bluetooth transfer didn't work and the app recommends being on Wi-Fi for it to function. You can try backing up your SMS messages to a computer and then restoring them on the new phone. Download an SMS backup app to your computer, connect your old phone to the computer via a USB cable, and follow the app's instructions to back up your messages. Then, reconnect the new phone and follow the instructions to restore your messages. Another option could be to back up the messages to an SD card if your old phone has one. Then simply insert that SD card into your new phone and use an app to restore the messages.
