How to transfer photos from Xiaomi Note 7 to computer

Hello
I have a lot of photos on a Xiaomi Note 7 that I would like to transfer to my computer. When I plug the USB cable into the computer, the Xiaomi appears, I open it, and I can't transfer anything; it tells me the folder is empty. What should I do?

    Good evening,

    You probably need to give permission for media transfer on the Xiaomi.
    When it is connected to the computer and turned on, pull down the notifications until you find the USB transfer permission. Currently, it is probably just charging on the PC.
