Black screen after screen replacement

Hello,

I changed the screen of my Lenovo Thinkpad L560 after a breakage.

When restarting, the screen is black. The new screen works perfectly on another identical PC. So the problem comes from the L560 which I must have damaged while reassembling the screen (static electricity?). I should mention that I did not remove the battery. I also note that the display works with an external monitor. Finally, when I shine a bright light, I can see the characters on the black screen.

Could you help me? Where should I look? Is it the backlight inverter which I can't find on this model?

Thank you immensely for your help as I see no assistance on the forums.

Do you know how

Did you buy exactly the same model of screen?....

Original or compatible?
If it works on another identical computer, it's that you forgot something during the reassembly...
If it works on another one, does the other panel work on this PC?

Thank you for your response.

The slab I bought was comparable but not exactly the same. When I install the slab that works on another PC onto this L560, the screen remains black.

However, the reassembly seems correct to me. I connected the 30-pin connector.

It's as if I've burnt something upstream, but I don't know what.

It's possible that you damaged something...
You should have disconnected the battery... all repairs are done without power.

If the screen stays black, we can assume that it no longer has power... especially since you say you can make out characters in the background..
So we need to look at its power supply... and without equipment, it's going to be difficult.
