VGA-HDMI issue: TV no signal

Hello, I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T450s laptop and it does not have an HDMI port, it only has a VGA port; however, I would like to connect it to my LG TV which has a HDMI output. I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter but when I connect my laptop to the screen it shows "no signal" and the laptop does not show anything either, even in the display settings and in the device manager nothing appears, yet the television and all the cables work fine, I tried them on other devices and everything works, as does the VGA output from my laptop, it automatically recognizes when I connect it directly to a monitor with a VGA output.
I have already updated the graphics card drivers, I've tried projecting the image, still nothing. At first, I thought the adapter had a problem, but it works very well with a projector. I have searched for many solutions in the forum and none of them have been able to solve my problem so far. I hope someone can help me because right now I really don't know what to do anymore.

It might be that the VGA/HDMI adapter either doesn't work or isn't the right type. You mention VGA to HDMI, which is what you need. But is that really the type for your equipment? Because some are not bidirectional; some only go from VGA to HDMI, while others go from HDMI to VGA.

I agree... and one could say that 80% of these adapters don't work as they claim..
-- Moreover, you don't specify under what display conditions you want it to work... you don't provide the exact model either..?
-- It's often stated on the paper what the image size limit is..? and also the version of Windows..?? etc.. etc...
It's not a "Universal" version; just look closely at the manual..
