Hello,
How is the computer connected to the router?
-
Hello,
If this is your first setup, your D-Link must be connected to your PC via an Ethernet cable for the initial configuration and to access this page.
Otherwise, you can try resetting your D-Link, but you will lose all configuration.
-
Hello,
what address does your PC get automatically?
see ipconfig/all
And there you go ....
But misery, how annoying these line spacings are!! -
Find in the control panel > network and internet > Network and Sharing Center > Connections > Details > default gateway with the router's IP you need to use written next to it.

Hello DDD AND THANK YOU
Attached you will find a screenshot of Ethernet enabled, however I can't open the interface to program it. In Windows 11, I can't find Network and Sharing Center. Also, even if I find it, it will disturb my main router.
Thank you
So I'm completely off track, and with my limited knowledge, I don't understand apipa. What I want is access point with this router, but I can't get it to fit into my usual environment. Generally, I'm pretty good with routers just for friends and family, but this time it's a hiccup.
I'm connected to my PC via Wi-Fi, and on the same PC, it's connected to DLINK with a cable just to program it, now how to do netsh. For your information, reset already done.
The time you set up the router, yes in case your box is on the same ip network as your box, by default.
Otherwise, you can also connect to your router via wifi.

It seems to me that my responses have not been flagged, which is why I am repeating what I wanted to let you know.
With the command "dlinkrouter.local" it works on Internet Explorer but not with Google Chrome, which does not work; however, the IP address of the DLINK access point does not work on either Google Chrome or IE. See the screenshot.

There is a message that was passed that I do not see in this discussion, stating that "
" dlinkrouter.local" does not display on Google Chrome browser, but works on Internet Explorer. So the dlink interface opens and I have access to the program, however this interface does not open with the IP address 192.168.1.1
-
OK,
thank you, are you connected to the D-Link or to your internet box via Wi-Fi?
if it's to the D-Link (but I doubt it) its IP address is 192.169.11.1 not 192.168.1.1, but you should have it directly at http://dlinkrouter.local
There is a message that got lost that I don't see in this discussion, to say that
"dlinkrouter.local" does not display on Google Chrome, but works on Internet Explorer. So the dlink interface opens with access to the program, however this interface does not open with the IP address 192.168.1.1
Thanks a thousand
Currently, I am connected to my PC via wifi from D-Link and not directly to my box. However, the D-Link interface only opens with Internet Explorer and not with Google Chrome. Furthermore, the D-Link interface with IP D-Link, which is 192.168.1.1, does not open either with IE or Google Chrome. In any case, your help has been very valuable to me, and I'm glad it's working despite the small issues still present.
My box's IP is 192.168.11.1 and D-Link is 192.168.1.1. I'm afraid to make changes and encounter problems later, especially since it was difficult for me to reach out to you. Unless you have advice to ensure that I do it correctly.
Well,
you need to understand one basic thing about IP networks:
A router is made to interconnect different IP networks, it does not operate with the same IP network on its different interfaces.
If your internet box has the IP network 192.168.1.0/24 on its LAN and your router does too, then when you connect them, it adapts and keeps 192.168.1.0/24 on its WAN, but changes to 192.168.11.0/24 on its LAN, so it reconfigures its address to 192.168.11.1 instead of 192.168.1.1 on its LAN when you connect it to your internet box through its WAN port.
It's not more complicated than that.
As for IE and Chrome, I think Chrome refuses unsecured servers (http) and prefers secure servers (https), so that's probably why you're getting an error. You didn't say what that error is, but it's likely that. It's becoming increasingly difficult to connect to simple http on the Internet with modern browsers.
And there you go....
But goodness, these line breaks are so annoying!!-
At first glance, there is no AP mode on this router; to set it up as a simple access point, you need to do it the old-fashioned way by connecting it via a LAN port to the internet, see page 11
Hello,
Here I just want to thank everyone who participated in this very enriching discussion, where I learned a lot of things.
I will close and say see you soon with my thanks.
