But under the printers tab, am I at risk of anything?

I don't know what you see under Printers... you need to be cautious, and rather than making any mistakes, I suggest you don't delete anything because in principle, Revo Uninstaller has already done a good job cleaning up... but there are sometimes a few remnants left...

So I suggest you close your registry and continue with the rest so that you won't be 'in a bind' because of false manipulations.....

See you later

What I want is to escape the HP Smart account and go back to the good old system from before.

You’re not obligated to use HP Smart, which is suited for newer printers...► As written above, you download all the drivers and software listed below after following everything indicated (except for a few remaining registry keys to avoid making mistakes).

See you!

Hello,

Which software should I download to escape HP Smart in this case, since the only one offered for my HP ENVY5530 printer is the one that works with HP Smart? So I imagine I necessarily have to go through the Smart account to scan, for example?

Thank you for your help

I wrote it to you yesterday ► On the HP site ► Full Software and Drivers.....► You download ► Full_Webpack-116-Full_Webpack.exe

Thank you, but I have reinstalled these drivers at least 4 times and nothing... failure apparently, it only works with Windows 8.

I wonder if it's my antivirus that is blocking things because when I try to download things on Google Chrome it indicates failed antivirus scan. Furthermore, every time I turn on my computer, a message from Bitdefender appears: Bitdefender agent could not be installed;

In my opinion, there are things you haven't done, or you've done them incorrectly because everything that could be done to install this printer has been suggested in various ways, but personally I don't see where your problem is....

The proposed download is indeed for W10 and not W8!

Have you tried installing your printer as explained above, with the driver integrated into W10...... we don't know if you've tried or not and we also don't know if the Fix I shared above found any HP residues that might prevent a new installation....

In fact, we are here; we don't really know what you do and what you don't do or do wrong and it's complicated to follow...!

Now, if you think you have a problem with your downloads due to your antivirus or other issues, you need to have your PC examined in the Virus & Security section where a competent person will assist you.....

Installing a printer remotely is not always easy, especially if everything is not done correctly....

Sorry, but as mentioned in my first post, this was my first and last cartridge after Kaneagle's.... and unfortunately we are at the same point!

 Best regards

I'm really sorry, but I followed all the procedures very carefully and nothing works: when I install the recommended driver, it ends up telling me that I've installed the driver for Windows 8 but that my printer hasn't been connected...

It's not a big deal, goodbye HP as far as I'm concerned, too many problems...

Thank you for the advice and tips, and I'm sorry for wasting your time.

Have a good evening

Thank you for the feedback .....

As mentioned before, you should post on the Virus & Security Forum to have your PC checked if you think you have issues with your antivirus .....

Personally, you didn't waste my time and I'm sure it's the same for the other participants ... otherwise we would be fishing instead of trying to help here

Regards

I just activated HP Scan Doctor and I want to copy what is displayed but it doesn't seem to work with Print Screen...

Driver conflict...

I'm being asked to uninstall: should I click on uninstall?

Do a Windows 10 repair
Check this --> Repair Windows 10 without data loss

I am also being asked to go to the HP customer service page, but there is a 404 error there.

Apparently, Scan Doctor wants me to use HP Smart by detecting my printer via Wi-Fi... Yet my printer is properly installed via USB.

Some driver files seem to be missing...
