JBL Bar 5.1 stuck on "on" in HDMI ARC

Hello everyone,

since this morning,

my JBL bar 5.1 no longer connects to my LG Oled TV.

It turns out that as soon as the HDMI arc is connected to their respective "arc" ports on the TV, the soundbar displays "on" but everything is frozen and there's no sound from the television???
Does anyone have the same issue?

Hello, I have the same problem on my end.

I tried connecting it via HDMI ARC but the soundbar freezes and no sound comes out.

So I reconnected it using the optical output.

If anyone has a solution.

I found THE SOLUTION!

I had the same problem: I was connected via optical, no issues, and I wanted to switch to HDMI ARC and my soundbar was blocking. I tried factory reset, unplugging the soundbar, connecting one first then the other, etc., without success.

While rummaging through the settings on my TV (LG OLED) I saw an option when I go to:

- Settings (All settings) - General - Devices - HDMI Settings

The TV offers me HDMI Deep Color, which enhances image quality and supports 4K.

I simply disabled this option (while keeping the SIMPLINK option enabled) and miracle! It works.

I hope this helps those who will encounter this problem next ????

Hello

I don’t have this bar, but in ARC (all variations), the simplest way to start is to simply turn off and unplug both devices from the power and HDMI for a few minutes, then plug the power back in, reconnect the HDMI cables, and test.
Quick and often sufficient.

Thank you, but no matter how many times I try, the problem is still there. I even attempted the update, of course the factory reset, etc.…

The soundbar remains stuck on "on" in HDMI ARC.

Is the digital audio output working in the "Sound" or "Audio" menu of this LG television?

What is the model of this LG Oled television? (see the nameplate on the back)


Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...

Hello.

Have you resolved this issue? I have exactly the same one. I unplugged the HDMI Arc cable to tidy up a bit, and since then my soundbar is stuck on ON or displays nothing. I've plugged and unplugged it several times after 30 minutes, and the reset + - Source doesn't work.

Hello,

Have you found the solution? Since a TV update, my HDMI ARC soundbar is no longer working. I have to use the optical cable instead.
