Hello

I am getting back to you because I can no longer access the internet; it is asking for an update (risk of hacking)

You helped me in 2015 by providing a new version MacsupCombo10.6.8.pkg

If you have a solution, thank you in advance

Best regards

Martine

Hello, we are at post 33, you need to be clearer, the response is: not recognized.

What do you click on? What do you launch? Please attach a photo if possible, thank you.

      Good evening GAB

I followed your instructions but it didn't work out

after the recommendations (2, 3...) from Mac that I sent you earlier: "the installation failed"

I tried again by double-clicking at the end of the download: the response was "not recognized"

I checked in the Applications folder, no downloads to date

I'm willing to send you a photo but on the CCM site I can't see where, there's no pin to attach a file.

      Have a good evening

Hello, if you are still on 10.6.8, it might be complicated.

Can you let us know which Mac you have? To do this, click on the Apple menu in the top left corner and then "About This Mac".

    Example:

    Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)

Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Do you want all the information?

I suspect you have a Mac, can you tell me the year of it?

Take a good look at the photo I attached and thank you for being clearer in order to provide direct help.

      Example

      Mac OS Snow Leopard

      Version: 10.6.8

      Machine: ?????

Processor: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

      Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

      Startup disk: Mac HD

It would have been almost perfect if you couldn't find the machine model.

You will need to click twice on 10.6.8 and there will be the serial number which generally starts with

      w80 or w89 or c02

  4. Toutoune

    DARWIN 10.8.0

    Unable to click on 10.6.8

    I’ve checked everything, I don’t see a serial number

    You have this machine.

    iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009) purchased on 08/05/10

The max system for this machine is macOS 10.13.6 which will allow you to get Internet working again.
The problem is that you cannot go directly to 10.13 due to memory constraints.

You will need to upgrade through 10.7 or 10.8 available here => https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT211683

WARNING, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BACK UP YOUR DATA!

Do you have any licensed programs like the Office suite or Adobe?

I read... installations dated from 2009

If it's possible to do an update or something, that would help me out because I can't buy a new computer...

    I also have a tablet that's old!!

In any case, thank you for your help!

      Hello Gab,

If you're still available! It's the weekend! Otherwise, we'll see each other on Monday...

      Should I save it beforehand?

From my PC... and how, please?

      Thank you

      Hello Gab

I can't click on the link from my inbox (blocked/security)

      Because of this browser update

      And I'm not receiving all your comments in my inbox;

I'm checking from my tablet by clicking on the first message from June 8. 'See message'

      Anyway, I'm struggling

    Thank you Gab

For your kindness and your patience

Before I ask a question: how do I save it? I don't have a USB key or any other storage...

I have tried using Time Machine, but that gets stuck too.

    Sincerely

I just got a 2009 with a 10.6.8 and on Safari, the link in post 12 works perfectly but it's a bit tricky for a novice.

So it's simple if you follow correctly what I'm going to write.

    1-You go on Google Chrome

2-In the search box you will type:

''get old version mac OS'' and you start the search

3-you click on the link IDENTICAL to mine!

You scroll down the page and you will find LION 10.7, you click on it and it starts the download
