Hello,
I was given a 2012 MacBook Air that worked very well for its previous owner. I received it "reset," cleared of its content, etc.
I am experiencing problems, particularly with Safari, which does not display websites correctly.
I thought it was a problem with updates, but I can't download them because the message "An error occurred while downloading updates (.102)" appears.
Here are the specifications of the Mac:
OS X 10.8.5
Intel Core i5 1.8GHz processor
4GB 1600 MHz memory
Any idea on how I can install the updates?
Or to get Safari to work correctly?
Thanks!
L.

Good evening,
This 2012 13" MacBook Air can accept the very latest version of MacOS Big Sur. Unfortunately, it only has 4GB of RAM, which will be very insufficient with newer systems that require 8GB or more.
To update your Mac, here is the Apple page that will give you links to the various MacOS systems: https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT211683
Here is another Apple page explaining how to do it: https://support.apple.com/fr-fr/HT204904
