Hello,
It's become extremely rare. What is the point of having a removable battery? It's a bit more complicated than before, but even when mounted in the chassis, the batteries remain removable and replaceable if needed.
The LDLC laptops still seem to have this design:

(* This is just an example, I'm not saying these are necessarily good laptops ...)
Best regards.
Thank you for your response, it's because most of the time I will keep it plugged in, but sometimes I will need it on the go, so that's why I would like the battery to be easy to install and remove.
The purpose of having a removable battery is to be able to change it without having to replace the entire computer when the battery is dead (which is inevitable after a certain number of cycles). I have been using the same computer since 2016 and I'm on my 3rd battery. Since it perfectly meets my needs (and yet my usage requires very good performance from the computer, which shows that having an outdated computer after 3 years is not a foregone conclusion), I would be frustrated to have to dispose of it because of a non-removable battery. Not to mention the harmful environmental and energy impact.
For me, the EU should require that all computers have a removable battery for environmental reasons at the very least, even if that means slightly heavier and less thin computers (mine is a 14 inch and still weighs less than 2 kg; much lighter options exist today but it's still very acceptable for mobile use).
