Unable to format my micro SD card

Hello everyone,

After trying the different solutions suggested online, I'm asking for a little help.
I'm looking to use a micro SD, when I connect it, I'm asked to format it. But when I click on "Start," it doesn't progress.

In the partition manager, it appears as RAW.
And when I try to format from that tool, it results in an error "The wizard did not complete successfully."

Do you have a solution to my problem?

Thank you in advance

Hello,

Try to repair any defective sectors from the command line using:

CHKDSK X: /F /R

where X is the drive letter of the card.

If it still cannot be formatted afterwards, you might want to try a third-party tool like Aomei Partition Assistant or Gparted (the latter is a Linux tool, so it should be used from a Live USB).

Thank you for the responses

CHKDSK is not working.
The file system type is RAW.
CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives.

For Aomei, it shows this:

Sorry, the ongoing operation has been canceled!
Error code: 106
Description: Failed to write FAT table 1 due to bad sectors.

What does the code information mean? Please refer to: https://www.diskpart.com/en/help/errorcode.html

At first glance, the map is dead with irreparably damaged areas.

with the software: bootice, it is possible to repair an SD card, a hard drive, a USB stick

With Bootice, there's no way to access the "Process MBR" or "Process PBR" tools

There is usually no operating system on an SD card (most of the time) and therefore no MBR; I don't see what such a tool would add in terms of repair (except possibly sector by sector, but that's professional work).
