Hello,

I just installed a new LG OLED TV 48C2. I have a 4G air box and an Orange UHD DTIW 385 decoder.

Can I connect the decoder to the air box to receive Orange channels? At the moment, the TV doesn't recognize any devices, and the TV installers couldn't do anything.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,

Do you have internet through the Airbox 4G only or also via a Livebox?

If you have an Orange decoder, you need to connect it via cable or Wi-Fi to your Livebox or via Wi-Fi if you're using the 4G box, and connect the decoder via HDMI to the television.

It's a second home, there's only the 4G airbox. The problem is that the TV is searching but cannot find the wifi from the airbox because in the available options to connect, there is no airbox, only live boxes.

There is therefore no Livebox in this residence.

Who are you trying to connect to the Wi-Fi on the Airbox? The decoder or the TV?

Your Airbox has been configured on a Livebox... is this Livebox not shown in the list of available Wi-Fi networks?

Is there no manual way to enter your Airbox's SSID and input the security code?

No, there is no live box in the residence.

For your information, the wifi between the airbox and the laptop works very well. But there is no wifi possible from the airbox to the TV or to the decoder.

I don't think the airbox has been configured on a livebox since there isn't one. And it is not listed among the available wifi networks on the TV's configuration screen.

During the TV configuration, the wifi network was requested (by the TV), and then the wifi key was entered. After that, it asks to choose from live boxes, but not from airboxes, and so it gets stuck. There's no way to go further.

Sorry...

I invite you to contact Orange to clarify the issue...

I don't know enough about Airboxes to go further, but I find it curious that it is impossible to use a device intended to back up a failing box on equipment that could connect without issue to a box via Wi-Fi....

Thank you very much, that's what I'm going to do and I will share the solution with you when the problem is resolved (but not for a few weeks because I won't be returning to this residence right away).

Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

Have a good evening.

Hello,

I received confirmation from Orange that it is not possible to connect the Orange airbox to a TV decoder.

If I want to watch Orange channels, I have to go through the internet (which is possible directly via the TV) or subscribe for that.

Thank you for your help.

Have a good evening.
