I need threaded ends for my new decoder. Where can I find them?
Good evening and thank you.

Hello everyone
CANAL has just sent me a new decoder automatically. Reason: the current one which works very well will become obsolete according to Canal, without any mention of a date.
It's impossible to install it because it doesn't have a port for the TNT cable from my rooftop antenna. It has a connector for a satellite dish which I don't have.
Question: Is this new decoder compatible with the TNT rooftop antenna?
If so, is there an adapter available and where can I find it?
Thank you for your help

Hello,
Yes, Canal is pushing hard for us to take their new decoder, but they have the TNT rights until June 2025, you can refuse the new decoder, send it back, they offer free installation through a partner installer for their satellite dish! But the problem is that said partner wants to call the shots at your place, "I won't put it on the roof," and leaves if you oppose him! It's a commercial pressure tactic between Canal and its "partners"!!!

Hello,
A "dumb" question perhaps, but isn't it possible to connect the rooftop TNT antenna directly to the TV at least to receive TNT channels excluding C+...
Because if I understood correctly the new C+ decoder is only compatible with a satellite dish or an internet connection.
See image of the Canal+ Ultra HD/4K Decoder:

Thank you Ziggourat. I mistakenly attached the image of my old decoder which works very well. It’s CANAL that sent me the new DECODER automatically, which is not compatible with the antenna.
CANAL's commercial methods are borderline dishonest. The customer service contacts me and asserts that the TNT connection option will be removed and that they will disconnect my old decoder.
They claim that I must install the new decoder and that they will disconnect the old one. After a long discussion, I was able to make them understand that I do not have a satellite connection. Suddenly, I am told that the installation of the satellite and the setup of the new decoder, as an exception, will be handled FREE of charge by CANAL through a CANAL service provider. I am offered an appointment in 1 month.
I request written confirmation by email. To my surprise, I receive an amendment to my contract with a withdrawal of €78.00 without reason and a second of €75 (security deposit).
Am I a special case? What are the options for recourse? Do you know of any defense association?
Should I now return the decoder and confirm my refusal by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt?

Hello vulcanix,
They can't force you to use this new decoder, it's hard selling. Not legal, therefore (unless in case of force majeure like the removal of TNT broadcasts, which is not currently the case...).
There's a consumer protection association that is super effective (at least when I needed it, anyway!), it's INDECOSA-CGT. Look for the one closest to you. It has nothing to do with the union if the name scares you!Best regards!

Hello txiki, it's my turn to take you to task. Indecosa CGT is a consumer defense association created by CGT in 1971.
It was you who replied to 'djojo', then Vulcanix jumped into the post meant for djodjo and monopolized your attention to the detriment of djojo who was left hanging; that's not how we operate on the forum.
I think refusing a state-of-the-art decoder is a mistake; you can easily access TNT by plugging the TNT wall socket into your TV and connecting the decoder to the modem via Ethernet.
Hello glandu: you are absolutely right, I messed up thinking it was djodjo who was responding when it was actually vulcanix <3> who has nothing to do with the question originally asked. djodjo was not against this new decoder.
What a shame! Why did I think djodjo didn't want this decoder. That will teach me for the future!
Sorry djodjo. It's the answer from Andy31200 that concerns you and not the rest!!!
Thanks to glandu for this excellent observation.
I'm really sorry!
