Password request blue screen " :( "

Hello everyone,

my PC running Windows 10 gave me the pleasure of a blue screen, which keeps reappearing whenever I try to restart the system.

I think the problem comes from the latest update I installed (my computer is not very young) and I would like to uninstall it using whatever my computer still allows me to do.

However, a password is being requested. I have tried absolutely everything but nothing works (computer code, Microsoft code, etc...) and it is not specified what this password is supposed to correspond to.

So my simple request is, does anyone know what this password is supposed to correspond to?

Have a good day/evening and thank you in advance

Hello and thank you for the response.

If I'm not mistaken, we're indeed talking about a Windows update (I know very little about it, sorry for my imprecision).

Here is the blue screen in question (I see it indeed mentions a driver).

The password is requested after the blue screen.

When I go to troubleshooting -> Advanced options -> Uninstall updates.

Have a great day.

Klif.sys would be Kaspersky

There's a problem with Kaspersky, you need to uninstall it to use your computer normally (and then reinstall it afterwards).

To do this, start in safe mode (tap F8 or F5 when starting your computer, then select safe mode). You can't uninstall Kaspersky in safe mode, so:

Start/programs/startup and remove Kaspersky, then Start/Run/msconfig/startup uncheck avp (that's Kaspersky).

Restart your PC normally and start the uninstallation of Kaspersky.

And that's it ^^.

Hello,

Is your blue screen actually a blue screen of death? Check on Google if so, it might indeed be due to an update, a driver, or a part of your computer becoming faulty in the worst-case scenario. Normally there is an error code at the bottom to identify where it's coming from.

We are indeed talking about a Windows update?

Where exactly are you being asked for this password? Do you have a photo to help us understand which software or system is asking for authentication?

Thank you
