New computer requests password at startup

Question

Hello everyone! I just bought an HP laptop at Boulanger. I'm really happy with my purchase, and I get home to turn it on (it was a display model). And then what do I find? It's asking me for a password under the Gilbert Beaulieu account! Or another account "HP". Great. I can't start the laptop. I reset it, but it's still the same. What should I do? I don't have the time or the ability to go to Boulanger for this. I'm very angry. If anyone has an idea? Oh yes, I should specify that I tried using my Windows email and password. Thank you!

Go back to Boulanger, it's their job to do the work properly; they shouldn't sell you a PC locked with a password. They should figure out how to reset it, plus you paid for it, so you should demand it.

I had the same issue with a PC bought at Boulanger --> Gilbert Beaulieu
Demo PC for 900 euros

I simply restored it to factory settings with the keyboard keys on my Asus
Following a bug (from Microsoft --> Windows 10 is still a baby), later I did a clean install
Well, you need to create a USB stick or DVD of Windows 10 but at least you won’t have the useless pre-installed software from manufacturers that takes up unnecessary memory
You could also do it, plus you'll have the DVD in case a problem arises
to be able to fix it.
As long as it hasn't been used, why not take advantage of it, and you can skip the license during the installation (the key is already on Microsoft’s servers)
You can also skip the step to create an account and a password, meaning you’ll have a local account; if you need the Microsoft account, you can create it later
