Hello,

I'm not an expert in IT and I'm in a panic. I have videos of students that I need to grade, sent via video by WeTransfer that I've retrieved. But I can't open them with VLC, I get an error message. I downloaded the videos a few days ago onto my USB stick from the college and now, it's impossible to play anything.
Here are the messages I get when I try to open them...

Your input media could not be opened:
VLC can't open "file://DFS060-PEDAGO/060.free%24/Downloads/Vid%C3%A9o%282%29.mov". Check the log messages for more details.

Hello,

A .xpsf file is a playlist. A list that points to where the file is stored.

If the file was stored only on the college's PC, the xpsf list on the USB stick does not allow reading the file.

If the files are individually present on the USB stick, they need to be opened one by one, without using the xpsf playlist, because the file path may differ from one PC to another.

Thank you and I'm sorry for only responding now...

I asked the students to resend their video to me and once I returned to school, they were all on the PC... I now know that it's better to copy and paste rather than recording the playback track...

Have a great day!
