Corel Draw file opening issue

Hello everyone,

Since this morning, Corel X8 no longer opens any files on Windows 10 Pro. I can open the software and create something, but when I save it... then it's impossible to reopen. And this happens with all my files. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, but nothing works.

Any ideas because this is a real hassle!!!

Thank you for your help

Maybe a problem with a Windows 10 update.... Try uninstalling it..
Also, try opening Corel in XP compatibility mode (right-click on the desktop icon then "properties")

Apparently not... I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled... Corel opens and allows me to work on it... I save my creation but when I try to reopen it, if the document has fonts then it is impossible to open, the hourglass spins for hours without ever opening. The software simply opens creations without fonts... only vector drawings... but not with fonts... I'm struggling!!!!

Check something...
There are TrueType fonts, OpenType fonts, and PS (TTF, OTF, and PFM)...
Create a file testing only one type of font to see if it might be a bug in W10 in the management...
Did you install Bitstream Font Navigator?

I don't think so... if I open CorelDRAW, on a blank document I write the word test in Arial font, so nothing more basic, I save it, I close it... Corel won't open it for me anymore... if I do the same thing by vectorizing the word test so it is no longer a font... the document opens.

When Corel is working hard to open a page with a font... it's impossible to close it, I have to do Ctrl Alt Delete and force close Corel... in parallel I see Corel Font Service is also working hard and indicates very high resource usage.

I am currently having the same issue with Corel Standard 2021... did you find a solution?

If it happened suddenly, uninstall the Windows updates until Corel works normally.
If you are an official user (and not an unofficial one), wait for the Corel update or check if there is one already available.
