CPL Wifi, coverage in the apartment garage

Hello everyone,

I've been looking for advice regarding an installation I want to make in my home for a few days now.

I live in an apartment on the 2nd floor and unfortunately the Wi-Fi router from my ISP doesn't have enough power to get a signal in the garage.

In the garage, I want to automate the opening/closing motor via HomeKit using this little iSmartGate module: https://ismartgate.com/ismartgate-lite/ which only works on Wi-Fi.

So my question is: can I use a Wi-Fi powerline adapter kit to extend the Wi-Fi coverage of my box into the garage? And ideally a kit of 3 plugs to also extend Wi-Fi into the basement?

I want to clarify that all the plugs are connected to the same circuit in the electrical panel of my apartment.
Another point to mention, it's important that the plugs in the kit do not block the electrical outlet.

I'm including a quick sketch... sometimes images are more telling.

I can't wait to hear from you!

    Hello,

If it's just for smart home devices, powerline adapters are more than enough, but if you have other more demanding devices to connect, it's better to opt for a mesh wifi in 2022.

And there you go, there you go...

But misery, how annoying the line spacing is!!

    Hello,

Yes, it's possible; you will need to acquire a powerline adapter kit with an access point.

For example: TP-Link Powerline WiFi AC 750 Mbps + Powerline 1000 Mbps
