Spark came out of my power supply, my PC won't start anymore.

I usually turn off the power to my PC at night after shutting it down because the motherboard lights bother me. So this morning, I decided to turn on my PC, so I switched the power supply to ON and turned on my PC with the button. So far, nothing unusual; I waited a few seconds for it to boot up, but during the loading process, I heard a noise followed by a spark coming from the power supply that caused my PC to turn off (I should note that I have a desktop PC). After that, I unplugged it from the power strip and plugged it directly into a wall outlet, but it still wouldn't turn on. Do you have any solutions for this problem? Or even an explanation, as I don't understand what happened. If any parts need to be replaced as well.

    You shouldn't neglect the power supply, it's essential, all the current flows through it; Aerocool is low-end, you just have to change the power supply and hope that no components have been affected.

    Edit: Maybe there was a power surge in the house; were other devices affected?

      No, no other device has been affected. Do you know more specifically what the problem is? (Surge or something else)

        To risk disappointing you, no, we cannot know more on a forum about the cause, nor if there are other damages (parts to change).
        For a fee, a professional could assess the situation on-site, but it costs money, and unless an insurance company requests it, we don't always do it.

        Indeed, surges are often mentioned, lightning is the worst enemy; there is nothing that can definitively prevent it from causing harm (the first cause of material loss for EDF of all time). In mainland France, in recent days, about a quarter or fifth of the territory has been heavily affected by severe thunderstorms (over 10,000 lightning strikes in 3 hours) and even spontaneous network outages for various reasons, including the heatwave.

        An "industrial" environment with large motors is also cited for voltage fluctuations. For several years now, the same supplier EDF no longer guarantees the voltage as it used to, but recent quality PC power supplies often have a greater tolerance for mains voltage, for example: AC 100/240W.
        If you are not doing crazy nitrogen overclocks or experiencing a major accidental error that requires very high power, but nothing like that in your description, I have no other ideas.

        Hi, I share your opinion, its power supply may have malfunctioned, either due to bad luck or, as I said, due to poor quality; it may not have liked a too high load.

        As long as the safety devices of the power supply did their job, no component should be affected.
