Hello,

I downloaded Windows Movie Maker, which was supposedly free. I made my edit, and when I want to export it, I'm asked to purchase the registration code to activate the software.
This is very frustrating for me because I spent a lot of time on my edit, and I won't be using this software again.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

    Hello,
    Windows Movie Maker, which is part of Windows Essentials 2012, is no longer available for download. Websites offering free downloads of Movie Maker do not provide the genuine item, and these downloads may contain malware, viruses or hidden costs.

    Instead, try creating movies with the Photos app included in Windows 10. The latest version of the Photos app includes the ability to create and edit videos with music, text, motion, filters, and 3D effects. Visit the Microsoft Store to find other video editing and creation apps.

    For the rest, whatever the software, when an activation is requested, in this case, the only legal solution is to purchase the official license to activate the software in question.
    Simply put, there will be no help here on CCM to bypass or circumvent this paid activation request.

    I just installed the Movie Maker version offered on the CCM link and there is no tab in the software interface to enter a paid activation key.
