Instagram: follower count increasing without notification

Hello,
I’ve noticed for a while that my follower count on Instagram increases by itself without any subscription notifications (recently I saw my follower count go from 350 to 409 in one day).
Often this follower count goes down more or less quickly and I keep juggling between around 350 and 400.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
