Micro : Sound capture issue with Rode NT USB

Hello,
For several weeks now, my Rode NT USB microphone has been acting up. Regularly, especially on Discord, I’m being told that I sound bad, worse than usual. And regularly, the sound seems to return to normal and I have to lower my volume...

The problem seems to have intensified in the last two days, and on top of that, when I reopened Adobe Audition, it's telling me that “The default input device appears to be connected but is not responding.” This is after it worked fine the last time, a few weeks ago... After a quick search, Audition has been set up to record my mic (but why did it suddenly detect a problem? Is there any connection, or is it just a coincidence?).

I’ve poked around in the settings, tried some changes, switched USB ports, checked for updates, nothing works.
Windows (10 in this case) tells me that all devices are up to date. The Rode is indicated as functional. Discord detects the sound.
Strangely, if I switch to a headset mic, I’m still told that the sound is weak. So now I’m starting to suspect the Nvidia High Definition Audio...

Anyway, I’m a bit lost, trying a lot of things without improvement. I’ve gone through a good ten topics, some related to the Rode NT, followed suggestions, but nothing works.
Does this ring any specific bells for you, or suggest a possible solution? Thanks for the help!

Hello, I also have a problem with my Rode NT-USB; I have to unplug and plug it back in each time and several times because Windows doesn't recognize it sometimes for 10 minutes. I have to keep doing this and it’s becoming tedious. Any solution? :/
