Hello, I have a friend whose Doro smartphone is designed for a 25-watt charger, but their phone is no longer charging. Can I charge it with my 33-watt charger for my Xiaomi? Is there a risk of overheating or damage to my friend's phone, mainly the battery? Thanks for your input

    Hello.

    No risk.

    If the Doro needs 25W while the provided charger UP TO 33W, then only 25W will come out of the charger.

    No problems.

        Hello,

        The answer is more nuanced: the charger and the phone must be Power Delivery type.

        This is the case for all recent chargers, except perhaps No Name Low Cost Chinese brands, but it must be checked in the phone's specifications if it is old.
