Family link: the times don't match!

Hello!

I don’t understand why the total time spent on apps and the total time spent on the phone don’t match in Family Link! Which one should I trust? One indicates that my daughter spent 2h06 on apps, and the other says she spent over 3h on her phone.

Can you help me understand this discrepancy, please?

And please don’t redirect me to the page explaining the usage time limits: https://support.google.com/families/answer/7103340?hl=en
It’s of no help regarding this question…

Thank you!

Hello.
There is a difference between spending time on apps and on the phone, which can be on without necessarily having apps open.

Hello,
I have the same issue, Family Link indicates that the 2-hour time limit has been reached when there has only been 1 hour spent on apps that are not "always allowed." I don't understand...

Hello bazfile,

Thank you for your help.
If that were the case, by the end of the day the phone would indicate rather 2 PM (phone on) and 2:06 AM for app usage...
The difference is rarely more than an hour or two.

Hello,

I have the same problem today, as if my parental activity is mirroring hers without displaying the duration of my apps...

Or maybe Android is running something else, but it's impossible to find the source of the problem.
On the parent Family Link, there is 1 hour of activity, and on her phone, there are 3 hours and 30 minutes.

I'll try uninstalling it on mine, maybe.

Feel free to share if you find something!!
