Hello everyone,
I noticed that this question has often been raised in this forum, but unfortunately, I haven't found the answer to my problem.
I have a Samsung TV purchased in 2010 (model LE40C530) that has always worked well (it's still functioning except for my little problem) but suddenly I found myself unable to read the subtitles of my movies or series.
I did find the menu where you can enable or disable this option, but it's simply "grayed out" so I can't modify it (blocked on "off" as you can see).
I would appreciate any solutions if someone knows one, thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to this forum,
Try unplugging everything, HDMI cables, antenna, and power plug, wait five minutes, and then plug it back in.
If there's no result and if you have access to the menu, do a "reset" or "factory reset" or "initial setup" (see menu) but you will have to redo the entire installation and settings.

Thank you very much for this quick response. I tried both methods (the factory reset is possible by holding down "Exit" for about ten seconds), but unfortunately, it didn't have the desired effect.
In fact, I was finally able to access the "subtitles" option and activate them (I actually understood that you can only access it while on the "TV" source), but apparently, it's the option just below "digital text" that I need to reactivate, which remains grayed out.
If anyone has the miracle solution, please don't hesitate; otherwise, I'll settle for watching movies in French, it's not a big deal ^^
