Reading external hard drive on TV

Hello
When I connect my external hard drive to my TV (TCL), a message indicates that the disk needs to be formatted to be read.
I would like to point out that the disk is read on my other TV (Samsung)
I also want to clarify that the disk is formatted in ExFat and has a capacity of 500 GB.
Finally, the disk contains MKV and AVI files
Thank you in advance.

try the format " NTFS "
or the format " Fat32 " is universal, but does not support files larger than 3.8 GB

        Thank you
The files I want to read on the TV are around 400 MB and some can go up to 2 or even 3 GB at most
But when I plug the drive into the TV, a message tells me I need to format the drive.
So I don't know which format to choose.

        formatting erases everything
so save the data before formatting the disk on your PC to " NTFS "
and if " NTFS " is also not recognized, then format to " Fat32 "
