Transferring photos from an external hard drive to my computer

Hello, I just acquired a new computer equipped with Windows 7 and I would like to transfer photos from an external hard drive to my computer. How should I proceed? Thank you for your assistance. Best regards

    Hello,

    First of all, congratulations on your recent purchase.

    The process is simple; just connect using the USB cable provided with your hard drive to one of your USB ports.

    Go directly to the folder where your photos and other files are located and simply use the key combination CTRL+A followed by CTRL+C.

    You can then choose a destination folder on your computer... For example, the Images folder available through the user libraries.
    Just perform the key combination CTRL+V in the window of the chosen destination folder.

    The following three combinations will serve to...
    (CTRL+A) Select all files present in the chosen folder.
    (CTRL+C) Copy the previously selected files.
    (CTRL+V) Paste the recently copied files into the chosen folder.

    There you go! :)

    Hello and welcome to this forum.

    Photos, just like text files, Word documents, Excel files, are... files :-).

    Based on this principle, simply connect your external hard drive to your machine running Windows Seven, then select the photo files or the directory containing them and copy-paste them onto your Windows Seven machine, preferably into the corresponding folder for images under Seven.
