Hello,
I just bought a MacBook Air. I used the migration assistant from my old MacBook Pro to transfer my data. At the end, when I wanted to start my new Mac, it asked me for a password, but the one from my old Mac doesn't work. I don't have a "forgot password" option to set a new password. I should mention that I've tried several times with the password without being offered access to the Apple assistant.
Thank you for your help!

Hello,

Before proceeding with the migration of data from the old Mac to the new one, there should already be a session password set on the new Mac. This is the password that needs to be used. Alternatively, if no password has been set, you can leave the input field blank.

Also, see this help:

Best regards.

Yes, okay, but I haven't forgotten the password; I don't know how to reset a new password on my new Mac that I just bought. It doesn't give me the option to reset or forgot password; I'm stuck on the login page.
