After installing LINUX Mint on an HP EliteBook 8570
Solvedjns55 -
After installing LINUX Mint on an HP EliteBook 8570p (shipped with Windows 10 HOME) the computer does not boot from the hard drive. However, everything works fine when booting from the installation USB drive. I tried to get information and I was told to modify some TPM stuff, but that feels like being sent to a kind of “Terra Incognita.” Would anyone who has lived this problem have an intelligent and interesting solution to resolve this issue? Thank you for your attention and have a nice day.

Hello,
Are you sure you installed Linux Mint, and didn't just boot the LiveUSB?
Linux Mint is compatible with old hardware, so it's not the lack of being able to configure TPM that would change much if the option is inactive; it's rather the Secure Boot that causes complications.
Moreover, if you're not experienced, it's better to seek help from a local association, because here you need a mastery of unknown ground to start under Linux without being at ease with computing.

Hello,
The TPM chip is not supported by Linux, so whether there is one or not it won't change anything. Linux Mint also runs just as well on 15-year-old PCs as on very new ones.
Unplug your USB drive and start the PC, tapping the F9 key during the boot phase until the BIOS boot-menu appears. When it is displayed, check if there is an entry for Linux Mint or Ubuntu. If yes, select it with the arrow keys and press Enter to boot. In this case it would mean that the system is properly installed but the boot manager is not installed. We'll see later if that's the case how to fix it. If there isn’t, it means Mint is not installed in the correct mode (BIOS installation mode for a UEFI PC or vice versa).
The fact that the PC boots with the USB drive indicates that it is booting from the live-usb session and not from the hard drive.
