Hello,
My child has a 2020 iPhone SE. There is a parental control installed so we can manage screen time and calling hours with our iPhone.
Currently at a camp, our child asks us to install WhatsApp to capture the best moments of the camp. It seems this has been requested for all children (group 13/14 years old).
We are favorable to it on the condition that they cannot misuse it to make calls indiscriminately and video calls with certain undesirable people, so to speak.
Is there a way with WhatsApp or Apple parental controls to set this up?

Hello,
You need to install a code on your child’s WhatsApp account so they cannot make calls or send them outside, etc.
You must authorize only the contacts they have on their iPhone.
All of this goes through parental controls with Screen Time, for example.
Then it’s up to you to clearly tell your child not to exceed the time requested by the camp.
